Udu Drums

Technically, the udu is an implosive aerophone  (musical instrument that causes a body of air to vibrate) and an idiophone (musical instrument that creates sound by the instrument as a whole vibrating) which originated in Nigeria. The instrument is played by hand. The player produces a bass sound by quickly hitting the big hole. Furthermore, the whole body can be played by the fingers. Today it is widely used by percussionists in a variety of music styles.

These drums make an incredible bass (yes, it’s ALL ABOUT THE BASS) sound. The horizontal rings you see are used if you wear a ring.
